Trademark Infringement

TVA's client, an Orange County-based financial services company, discovered an out-of-state competitor was infringing on its incontestable trademark. TVA filed an action in U.S. District Court in Orange County to protect the trademark and recover damages for its infringement under the Lanham Act. TVA was successful in resolving the dispute and the infringing party agreed to pay TVA's client for infringement and a licensing agreement.

Trade Secrets Misappropriation

After TVA's client, an internet wholesaler developed key strategic overseas vendor relationships, a former employee began using the vendor and product lists to start a competing business. TVA obtained a TRO (temporary restraining order) and injunction to protect the wholesaler's trade secrets and prevent the former employee from using them to engage in unfair competition.
